DO I Need a Screen or Camera Protector for Samsung Galaxy Note 20/Ultra?

We have all been there before. At one point or the other you probably have experienced having a broken screen which made your phone totally dysfunctional or at least spoilt the calibration of the phone making it almost impossible for you to type correctly without experiencing some level of frustration. Now, if your phone is one like Samsung which is extremely expensive to repair, it is double trouble. This is why most stores that sell phones sell screen protectors alongside it because of the danger that not having one possesses. As such, no prophet needs to tell you that getting a screen protector is indispensable when you are getting a new phone. However, if you are still unconvinced on why you need a screen protector, here are some reasons why:

Screen protectors protect your phone from daily wear and tear: Usually, the nature of how we often handle our phones makes it vulnerable to scratches from different objects which causes a wear on the phone. Over time, this is not so good for the phone and if left uncorrected, makes the screen very susceptible.

Protection from fall: It is one thing for your phone to wear due to how you normally handle it but your phone falling down is a different ball game entirely. The fastest way for your phone to get damaged is for it to fall from heights. Simply put, even phones are acrophobic. That is why you need to have a guardian angel for your phone in the form of a screen protector so that when next you are taking that selfie or you are in the bathroom and your phone mistakenly falls on a tiled floor, the screen will remain the same after.

Prevention sticking of fingers: Ultra clear screen protectors are mostly thin and they usually offer a shiny and smoothened surface which allows your finger to easily maneuver across the screen without stress and sticking.

Prevention of Ultraviolet damage: Perhaps the most under-pronounced advantage of screen protectors, otherwise known as screen guards, is the fact that they are mostly anti-reflective which bend light away from the phone’s screen and reduces reflection on it. The effect of this is that it aids clear reading and reduces eye strain.

Now that you see clearly why screen protectors are essential, perhaps the answer to the question this topic poses has been given but hey, we are not quite done yet. It is cool to know that there is a need to get a screen protector for a phone as fragile and expensive as the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 however it is even better to know which type of screen protector is necessary to use for the phone. Mostly, there are four types of screen protectors for Samsung Note 20 & S20:

Galaxy Note 20 Phone Camera Lens Protector

Phone Camera Lens Protector: Perhaps after the functionality of protection, one extra thing that makes this particular screen protector so fascinating is its aesthetics. It does not happen very often that you get a screen protector with a curved screen and an under-display fingerprint scanner. It provides exactly this for Samsung Note 20 phones. There is the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra glass camera protector without tray. As the name implies, it protects the camera lens from drops and scratches. It is fingerprint and smudge resistant. In terms of dimension, it usually comes in a size of 10.4cm x 12.1cm and it’s weight is just 0.044 lb.

IQ Shield smart fil screen protector: In terms of durability, this particular type of screen protector is inferior to that of the amFilm however, it is relatively more straightforward to apply and it is usually more affordable. It uses a special UV treatment that prevents the film from changing colour to yellow. It also works with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Usually, it comes in a pack of three.

Armorsuit Militaryshield: This is a very awesome type of screen protector for Samsung Note 20 phones. It has a very high level of clarity especially as it is very thin. Also, it has a very excellent touch sensitivity and fingerprint sensor so these won’t pose any problem. Perhaps the coolest thing about it is that it has a self-healing layer which helps you take care of minor scratches on the phone

Skinomi Techskin full-body protector: One benefit this screen protector offers you is that it gives you the option of not using a case as it comes with a film protector for the back glass panel of the phone. This helps to avoid scratches and cracks. Like the armorsuit militaryshield, it also has a self-healing layer to fix minor scratches. Finally, it is resistant to punctures and UV light and this protector doesn’t change color to yellow after a long time.

The most important screen protectors for Samsung Note 20 phones which are recommended are ESR products. Besides the fact that they possess excellent protection against scratches and cracks, they also support the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor of Samsung Note 20. Other features that come with these screen protectors include clear transparency, high touch sensitivity and a coating which is highly smudge-resistant. These recommended screen protectors include:

We have spent so much time talking about screen protectors that we have not said much about camera protectors. As much as a screen protector is important for your Samsung galaxy Note 20, it is also important to have a camera protector in case of a fall and to also make sure that the camera surface does not scratch in order to avoid blurriness of pictures.

Finally, after all these, it cannot be gainsaid that having a screen and camera protector is extremely important for your phone in order to enhance its longevity. The extra cost of buying these things is worth it because the cost and frustration that comes with repair is often greater. Also, all the protectors listed above are top quality which means that in the end, whichever one you go for, there is an assurance of quality and you are getting the best.
