Sometimes too many options leave us with no option at all! And you’d know why below.
At some point, I’m certain you have imagined what the iPhone models would look like when they are finally launched. You are not alone – I did that too.
Choosing the model to buy can prove quite difficult and Apple added to this misery by giving us 4 models of the iPhone 12 series all at once!
What Apple feels to be a seemingly harmless way of satisfying their prospects has turned out to become customers’ (like you and I) worst nightmares. All the same, I still love Apple products and so do you too.
However, I did a few things to help get me out of this misery I found myself. But did it pay off in the long run? Well, yeah it did.
One of which was juxtaposing between the 4 models. First, I divided the 4 iPhone 12 models into two groups. The ordinary iPhone 12 (which consists of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini) and the iPhone 12 Pro (consisting of the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max).
Knowing where my interest lies, I was quick to discard one group and you would know why soon. So, left with just one group, I was able to streamline and scrutinize the remaining two models using the key features below.
Display
The iPhone 12 Pro has a super retina XDR display alongside a 6.1-inch (diagonally) full-screen OLED display but the actual viewing area is less than this. With a pixel resolution of 2532 * 1170 at 460 PPI.
On the flip side, the iPhone 12 Pro Max has a super retina XDR display with a 6.7-inch (diagonally) full-screen OLED display with a pixel resolution of 2778 * 1284 at 458 PPI.
Both models are IP68 rated that is, they are water, dust and splash resistant. They can stay in water for a maximum depth of 6 meters and up about 30 minutes.
Also, it has a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating.
However, the corners are somewhat rounded with a slightly curved design which adds elegance to these particular iPhone 12 models.
Now, you do not want anything to mess up these screens as they are not replaceable so, purchasing a screen protector should be the most important item on your purchase list.
By the way, I have made this even simpler so, you do not have to stress yourself about the type of screen protectors to purchase as I have done the background job of research for you.
Here are two best screens protectors’ categories from ESR you can purchase with their prices spelled out.
- iPhone 12/12 pro screen protectors & camera protectors
- iPhone 12 Pro Maxscreen screen protectors & camera protectors
The ESR screens are scratch-resistant tempered glass screen protectors. They have a 9H tempered glass that provides advanced scratch protection against objects like keys, pens and coins that you come in contact with on daily basis.
The ESR screen and camera lens protectors keep your iPhone 12/12 pro secure against scratches drops, falls, tiny marks and fingerprint marks.

Storage capacity
For the storage capacity, both the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max has the same storage space of 128GB, 256GB and 512GB and the prices increase with respect to increasing in storage space.
Camera
taking dope jpegs can be quite addictive for some (like me). the iPhone 12 Pro has a rear camera of 12MP wide (f/1.6), 12MP ultra-wide (f/2.4), and 12MP telephoto (f/2.0). The front camera has a 12MP true depth (f/2.2).
For the iPhone 12 Pro Max, it has a rear camera of 12MP wide (f/1.6), 12MP ultra-wide (f/2.4), 12MP telephoto (f/2.2). the front camera has a 12MP True Depth (f/2.2).
Design
The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max has a stainless-steel body design with a ceramic shield front textured matte glass back.
To maintain the original look of the matte glass of your iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, you should purchase any of these categories of cases from ESR
the ESR case covers are sturdy and reliable as it helps protect your phone’s outlook from drops and scratches hence making your phone look beautiful always.

Although, both pro & Pro Max model runs on the same process using the A14 bionic processor chip and iOS (IOS 14).

Price
So far, this is the most essential aspect to consider when you want to choose a model to purchase. The iPhone 12 Pro goes for $999 while the iPhone 12 Pro Max goes for $1,099
However, if you are super excited about photography and all it entails, or you are looking to enjoy a bigger screen display, you should settle with the iPhone 12 Pro Max, even though it’s a bit pricey.
I love the big screens so, I’m guessing you already know the iPhone 12 model I settled for.
Hopefully, you make the best decision.
