Plenty of media outlets have been reporting on the new iPhone SE, we’ve heard about possible colors and specs before, but thanks to new information everything has changed. On April 2nd a prominent leaker in the iPhone supply chain has just blown the lid off of colors, storage space, and other details about the iPhone 9.
Apple could begin taking orders on this new iPhone as early as April 5th though others have said the date could be pushed back to April 15th. While many have said the name of the phone would be named either iPhone 9 or iPhone SE2, according to the latest sources, we believe that it will be named iPhone SE. Apple engineers are internally referring to the phone as the iPhone SE 2nd generation.
While none of this information has been confirmed by Apple this leaker in particular is highly credible and has given us a ton of information to work with. The iPhone SE 2020 will come in three colors white, black, and red. Apple will also offer five different protective cases black silicon, white silicon, red leather, black leather, and dark blue leather. After color choices the big question in many consumers mind is how much flash memory will be included. The iPhone SE 2020 will be released in 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB models for you to choose.
Another accidental leak from the Apple website seemingly confirms the name iPhone SE. A page was put up for an iPhone SE / 8 / 7 compatible screen protector. Notably however, the iPhone SE released on March 21st 2016 only had a 4.0-inch screen whereas both the iPhone 8 & 7 feature 4.7-inch screens. From this we can conclude that the new “iPhone 9” will in fact be called the iPhone SE and will feature a screen similar to the iPhone 8.
ESR will soon be releasing its own iPhone SE cases and screen protectors.
All this evidence shows us that yes, a new affordable iPhone is right around the corner!
