Samsung Galaxy s23 Release Date, Design, Price, Color, Specs, and Leaks (Latest Update)

The Galaxy “S” series by Samsung is one of the most popular models in the market. Android users are eagerly waiting for the new Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra which will come with new features and better specifications. However, they would have to wait a little longer since the phone will hit the markets by 17th February 2023.

Before getting their hands on these amazing devices, it is important to know what something unique about it is. So, to give you a better idea about it, we’ll discuss the key things that you need to know about the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra.

What Does the New Samsung Galaxy s23 Offer to the Consumers?

Each phone in the new Samsung Galaxy s23 series has something unique to offer. They also come with a different price tag, depending on the model you choose. Here is what you can get from this fantastic series in terms of design, performance, and much more.

Design

When we talk about the design, there isn’t much difference in this series. The Ultra has more of a boxier shape, whereas the S23 and the S23+ have the camera island plateau on the back side. If we compare it with the previous model, then the company decided to change the current camera block with something minimal.

Talking about the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s look, it is more or less the same as its predecessor. You’ll get the same frosted glass back, but with new choices of color. On the flip side, we’ll do something a bit different in terms of design for the Galaxy S23 and S23+.

The camera trends for both these devices are similar to the last two Ultra models. Moreover, this year all the devices in the Galaxy S23 series are focused more on the protruding lens.

Performance

The amazing features and new specifications in the Galaxy S23 series enhance the overall performance of this device. It comes with Android 13 along with an additional One UI 5.1. Moreover, you’ll get the 256GB storage base in the S23+ and S23 Ultra, improving its overall performance.

Samsung has brought in massive changes to deal with the new models of its top competitor, Apple. It has to counter the iPhone 14/15 Pro models and it has done it with perfection.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with an optimal 200MP camera sensor that you can find on a phone. In addition to that, it comes with 5G connectivity, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, and a lot more. All these things give you a faster processing time.

Camera

The camera is one of the key takeaways of the Samsung Galaxy s23 series. It is something that users are eagerly waiting to get their hands on. Most importantly, its 200MP camera in the Galaxy S23 ultra makes it an ideal alternative for the new iPhone models.

You can get the main camera which comes with a 200MP custom Samsung. It will also give you access to a wide range of features, including the panorama, auto-HDR, and LED flash. Apart from that, you’ll also get the following cameras in the new Galaxy “S” series:

  • Front camera:12MP with Dual Pixel PDAF that allows you to make a super steady video
  • 3x telephoto camera: 10MP along with a pixel size of 1.12 μm and sensor size of 1/3.52″
  • Ultra-wide camera: 12MP along with a pixel size of 1.4 μm, macro mode, and sensor size of 1/2.55″

The primary hardware of the camera doesn’t continue to be the same as the S23 Ultra’s zoom cameras. Both of the remainings are the same with the 3x telephoto camera lens having the 10MP sensor and the 10x periscope magnification that comes with the 10MP one.

The camera isn’t just great for clicking images, but it also does wonders when it comes to videography. With the robust Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 imaging co-processor, the S23 now comes with 8K video recording. It has a much smoother 30 frames per second, which would be a blessing for videographers.

Battery

Battery life is also a critical factor that many users look for before deciding whether they want to buy a new phone. With the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, the battery life will get a boost in the Galaxy S23 series. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is the primary reason for the optimal battery life.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra has a battery with a capacity of 4,855mAh. It comes with the EB-BS918BY from which you can enjoy a standard capacity of around 5,000mAh. It is quite similar to the ones you’ll find in its predecessors.

As for the precise idea about the Galaxy S23+ capacity, it is around 4700 mAh since it has a battery with the model number EB-BS916ABY. It is an increase of 5% from the previous piece, which had a battery capacity of 4500 mAh. China’s Amperex Technology Limited (ATL) is making these units.

It is a prominent name in the battery makers’ fraternity and has recently signed a deal with Samsung. The company is also working with ATL to diversify its Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 pack suppliers. This way, they can bring down their production expenses and pass the benefits to the consumers.

As for the charging, it continues to stay at 45W max for the S23 Ultra and S23+. The S23 25W wired charging speed, meaning it will have a full charge for an hour or so.

Price

Last but not least, the price is the key factor for consumers when choosing the Galaxy S series. Here is an overview of the pricing for the Galaxy S23 Series.

  • Galaxy S23 Ultra– $1199 (256GB), $1299 (512GB), $1499 (1TB)

Wrapping Up

We hope you now have a clear idea of what the new Galaxy S23 is going to offer. Most of us are eagerly waiting for this new phone to enter the market. Its amazing options, and features make it an ideal choice for gaming, video streaming, and much more.
