The magnetic holder starts making noise after about a month. The plastic starts to break around the tiny screw. Eventually falls off. As you see in the pictures I used Gorilla Glue to salvage it because I’m outside the return window.

The phone holder is built well and has really strong magnets. However, the alignment tool sent with it for mounting behind your Tesla screen is for left hand drive models only – UK buyers beware! I din’t end up using the aligment tool but this meant my installation wasn’t perfect – when folded away, I can still see some of it.

I have been using this mount for about a month now and did not have any problems. I ended up attaching it to the back of the monitor. I tried several mounts which did not use adhesives and none were stable. At least in this one the adhesive is on the back of the monitor, so normally not visible. I thought it looks good and the magnet has been very stable even though my phone is in a case ( MagSafe).

The device holds well, but I’ve noticed after a few weeks, the thing creaks over bumps. If I press my hand over the hinge the creaks go away. If I let go, the creaks come back. I have two of these in two cars and they both creak. Annoying, in a newer car that’s silent. Other than that, the adjustability is good, not crazy, but it’s solid and doesn’t move. It’s just noisy.

This was easy to install (I do think it could do with less packaging and guides that then you have to throw away after install). The magnet is super strong – have no issues with my phone falling off, and it takes a good tug to remove it.I love how it can fold back on itself to maintain the aesthetics of the car when I don’t want it sticking out of the screen.

Solid holder and the magnet would hold the iPhone 15 nicely, but doesn’t work as well on my other phone metal case. Adding this to the back of my Model Y screen, the design makes it hard to reach the knob to adjust the angle. Overall still a decent holder.
