This little battery pack kick stand is awesome. Its small and compact fits perfect on my iPhone 15. Charges super-fast and is overall handy to have.

As a Qi2 battery pack, this is probably a good step up from whatever you have now. Qi2 is more efficient, converting more energy into battery charge than into heat. And it can charge an iPhone 12 or newer at 15 watts instead of 7.5 watts. That means it charges the phone twice as quickly, and your phone won’t slow down from thermal throttling as often as it does with an old Qi charger. On the down side, it’s still quite thick. It’s about the same thickness as Anker’s PowerCore Slim 10k, although it’s lighter. With new battery and Qi2 tech available, this could have been thinner.Another down side on the version without the kickstand: The battery charging port is on the side. Normally models without stands move the charging port to the bottom. This makes it less awkward to hold it while a charging cable is attached. If you get this, you may want to buy a USB cable with an L-shaped (right angle) connector.

I got this for my iPhone mini, which a lot of power banks and wireless chargers have trouble fitting on, as they hit the camera area and can’t hold on. This one does stick out on the bottom edge, and just a tiny bit on the sides, but holds pretty securely and you can use the phone while it’s on. There are smaller 5Ah banks, and if the overhang bothers you take a star off. Photo shows amount. Regular iPhones fit is fine.Efficiency/capacity is pretty good. Takes 20Wh to charge, 15-16Wh (5v@1A via wired port) discharge, so almost 90% efficiency on average per direction. Wireless, of course, will have more loss on discharge. Can’t tell if the 15W is any different than 10W, as I never have my phone battery below 60-70%.I did have to contact the company about a problem – it was handled quickly.

Rather than an Iphone, I have a Samsung with a MagSafe case. I knock a star off because it theoretically has a larger battery than my phone, but only has fully charged it once. Other times with about the same phone battery level it charged the S21 to around 78%. Once when connected back to charge more, its 3 of 5 bars went down to one. Perhaps it has some internal safety sensor that keeps it from overheating? This is physically larger than my phone battery, so you’d think it’d charge it more than just once and no more. It is good for on the go if you are running low, but not quite what I was expecting. It is a vast improvement over older external packs because it has the MagSafe magnet and QI2 charger instead of a USB cable. So you can put them both in your pocket/purse stuck to each other and not worry about the connection falling out or failing.

So I don’t own an iPhone. I have a Pixel 9 Pro XL with a magsafe case. I use a magsafe charger every nice to charge my phone and it does so quite well. Can’t say much about the speed of the charging. That I’ve never tested but it’s ready when I want it so I don’t care. I’d plug it in with a cable if I needed the fastest charging. This is the 4th magsafe battery pack that I’ve purchased. I had to return 1 because the qi charging wasn’t working properly at all. The other 2 gave mixed results. Yes they all charged via qi charging and connected with the magsafe connection. The connections have been strong with all of the battery packs but with the other 2 packs, charging has been slow. One of them is the original qi and so that charges maybe 7.5w and up to 15w. The other is qi2 and should be a more solid 15w charging. But neither charged very quickly needing 30 minutes to go from 40-50%. And I mean just 10%, no more. The esr pack is the 1st pack that appears to charge fast. It claims to also have qi2 charging. I charged my phone last night to full and was actually very surprised when it topped off as fast as it did. I was around 85% and finished topping off with the esr qi charging to 100% in maybe around 40 minutes. The other pack took that long to go from 78-85%.I’m going to keep testing things out but as it stands right now, the esr is the winner of the 4 I’ve tried. Fast stable wireless charging from a battery pack. All of the packs claim 20v+ wired charging. I know the 1 I returned was fast. I’ll have to check that out also but I’m confident that they’re as fast as they claim.

This one holds a powerful charge, it’s not as fast as plugging it in to a wall, but when you’re in your work place and if they have the power tied down to where you can’t use anything or (in my case) where the surge protector is so tight against the wall that you can’t put a plugin to charge your phone. This one works well, It’s small, you just slap it and align it on the back of your iPhone or android and it’s good to go.Does get a bit hot, but that’s the iPhone 14 Pro Max, I only have one wireless unit that doesn’t get hot and it takes 3-4 hours to charge versus this unit that brings my phone up to say 80 percent in a few hours. Nice and portable, plenty of use for this one.

I know there are three versions of this battery for the listing and, unfortunately, I am reviewing the Qi2 version without a kickstand. I say this is unfortunate because I think that this brings the rating down, but I have to be honest here. And the verdict is…it’s just ok without a kickstand, especially At a budget price of $30 USD at time of posting.

First: for a Qi2 charger (this means it will fast charge an iPhone 15 Pro Max at up to 15W using the MagSafe ring on your iPhone), this is providing a quality charger that is almost half the price I’ve paid for others.

Second: as for its design, it’s pretty bare bones. It’s far too slippery to reliably hold it (it’s got that smooth plastic feeling that looks nice, but can slide out of your hands fairly easily). It’s also not really as thin as it could be, though it is reasonably thin for a 5000mah battery. I think folks need to understand that ANY battery pack is going to feel bulky on their phone, but this does a good job at getting quite thin, but nothing that will shock you.

Third: the magnet is as strong as any other reliable magnet. Now, because of the slippery surface, fhe “strength” may vary if you’re putting on another slippery surface (some MagSafe cases are too slippery, but many have textured coatings that prevent this from being an issue). It would have been nice to have some textured or rubberized like coating to increase the overall grip, but I really don’t have any issue with the magnet strength.

Some minor observations: the button on the side right is far too easy to click if you’re using your phone with the battery, because you have to hold it there. But, as I mentioned above, it’s a bit of a slippery surface so I’d be careful with using this while it’s attached.

This is why, overall, it seems incomplete without a kickstand. You can’t let it rest on a desk to make it usable and you can’t grip it by the kickstand because…there is no kickstand.

Otherwise, this would be a solid value for some premium tech (qi2). I note that the 5000mAh isn’t likely enough juice for folks who want to be able to fully charge the latest iPhones, but when they add more juice it doubles in size which I don’t mind, but almost everyone else does so, it’s a trade off I’m willing to make for the 5000mAh batteries.

I do think this could be top-tier for value and quality…if it had a kickstand (and also with the addition of some textured coating). So it’s still a great battery. Hope this helps!

This ESR magsafe battery is about half the thickness of the 10000mAH one, it feels a lot more comfortable when attached to the phone. Although it’s not the thinnest (there are thinner ones out there, see the comparison for another similar product), I do feel ESR one has higher build quality and tend to details, it does charge cooler while the other ones feel hot. Overall recommended for iphones!

This portable charger is slim, lightweight, and very convenient for on-the-go use. It has a strong magnetic lock that keeps it securely attached to your iPhone, making charging effortless and reliable. One of the best features is its 15W fast charging, which is great for iPhone users who want faster charging compared to standard options. It also allows you to charge two devices at once, which adds versatility. The charger feels sturdy and well-built, though the ability to charge other devices via USB-C is a nice touch. The only slight drawback is that it can be a bit tricky to charge the phone and another device at the same time without some balancing. Still, overall, it’s a great compact charger with strong performance.

The most important feature on this is Qi2 support. This means up to 15W wireless charging and Magsafe compatibility. Other non-Qi2 magnetic wireless chargers will charge at a max of 7.5W for iPhones, which is pretty slow. This battery pack worked as expected and feels to be made well. ESR is a reputable brand, I don’t have quality concerns with this product. The capacity of 5000mAh is not very large, but for me it’s enough for a long day out. I find that this is enough for bumping up the charge on 1 or 2 phones to comfortably make it through the day when traveling.
