No, a power adapter is not included. When selecting a power adapter, make sure to use a 5V 2A\9V 1.5A fast charging adapter.
All wireless charging produces some level of heat, especially if you are performing CPU-intensive activities on your phone, such as gaming or watching videos, while charging. To avoid overheating, be sure to remove any metal attachments between your phone and the wireless charger during charging.
Apple limits third-party wireless chargers to 7.5W, which means wireless chargers from any brand besides Apple are limited to 7.5W. The MagSafe animation is only shown when officially certified Apple chargers are attached.

This charger has a strong magnet and holds the phone really securely. The main issue I ran in to was with a USB C wall plug (Ugreen PD fast charger) that caused the magsafe charger to make a buzzing sound that would pulse for a second, stop for a fraction of a second and then buzz again. It’s not a loud sound, and only happens when it has nothing charging on it, but it’s really frustrating once you hear it.I solved the issue by switching to an old apple USB A charger (5v 1a). This obviously slows the charging down a little, but as I charge my phone overnight it is not an issue for me and it no longer makes a buzzing noise.I have noticed that any wireless charging causes my phone to get quite warm, however I do need to run an overnight charge on the lower power wall plug I am now using to check if that issue is also resolved simply by using lower wattage.
