Great product. I’m absolutely satisfied with this purchase.

It ‘s too weight added to my Ipad. Can only use when I’m at my desk.

The keyboard and trackpad is much better than I expected. I was tossing up between this and the Apple branded one but opted for something cheaper. The trackpad is responsive and the multitouch is great. As someone who uses the Mac trackpad regularly the responsiveness of this one is good and the gestures all match. The weight is good and strong enough magnets so that I can work comfortably from my lap.The only thing that disappointed me is that the removable case doesn’t work with my other ESR case I purchased a few months ago. I don’t always want the keyboard attached and would love to have the 2 cases interchangeable.

I needed a replacement iPad case/protector with keyboard and researched many before choosing this one. Immediately, it became evident that this brand was much heavier than previous devices, and at first I was concerned until it dawned on me it didn’t require swapping out batteries, and as a side benefit, it didn’t sap power from my iPad to be able to use the keyboard, as it has usb capabilities to charge its onboard battery.Another thing I like is that I can flip my iPad from landscape without having the keyboard also flipped, which was always annoying because typing sideways, and/or using the iPad screen keyboard, defeated the argument for purchasing keyboard hardware.I was concerned, based on other reviews, that the magnet used to hold the iPad connected to the keyboard component wasn’t strong enough, however, once I figured out how to actually place my iPad into its case component, I have had no issues with the iPad falling out, even when I remove it from the landscape mode to use it vertically.A couple of things I found were negatives is that it was difficult trying to put my iPad into the case because it was so “tight”. Once I managed to do so, I’ve noticed it is occasionally difficult to use the touch screen on the iPad (I had to use a different angle than normal for the screen to recognize I was trying to activate a new tab on my browser, etc., but as I’ve been using the keyboard more, it’s inconvenient at worse, but is less annoying as I’ve learned how to use the touch screen with little effort, so these were the reasons for giving this item 4-stars rather than 5.

I liked how it has a backlit keyboard. It was a little difficult to put iPad Air into frame of case.

Keyboard is fantastic, the entire system is well-made. However, it’s a little heavy..

I recently purchased an iPad Air 13 inch and wanted a keyboard to go with it, having used an Apple keyboard with an earlier product before. Apple products are always wonderful but, in this case, I wasn’t thrilled at needing to pay half of what the computer cost for a case / keyboard. I therefore took a gamble on this ESR one for just below £80, wondering if it would be suitable, but knowing that ESR products are good.I thought, for example, that the trackpad would be crude and that the keyboard wouldn’t be particularly pleasant to use and I knew that it would not charge up from the iPad itself. Thus, I was ready to give it a trial and send it back if it was truly unacceptable. If Apple made this to their uncompromising standards I dread to think what it would cost but I think it is really rather good and absolutely amazingly fantastic for the price. True, you have to switch it on; you have to set it up with Bluetooth; you have to charge it separately BUT it has function keys; the typing experience is very good; THE TRACKPAD IS MUCH BETTER THAN EXPECTED.Finally, the amazing advantage for me is that it can be used with the iPad in Portrait mode, albeit that it has to have the provided case protector fitted. Buy a good (ESR) screen protector and this does not matter. The value for money for this item is ridiculously good.

Someone else wrote that it is on the heavy side. And it is. Other than that is great product. Love that you can adjust how you want your pad to be (horizontal or vertical). Battery seems to hold good. The flip closing keeps your pen in place.

I have the iPad Air 13”. This keyboard rocks! It is bang for the buck and love how the keys feel when I’m typing. The quality of this case is really good. If you’re concerned about the weight, it is heavy but not as bad compared to the original version of the case the fits the iPad Pro. I accidentally ordered one for the Pro before this and I noticed a difference already on the weight. So, if you’re concerned about it and you’re an IPad Air user, then order the right case for it. I like the fact that this keyboard case have a separate case just for the iPad. I can use it as a stand alone or with the keyboard. The backlight, keys and trackpad responds really well. Although expect a lag during the initial set up. Otherwise, I’m very happy with it. Highly recommended.
