Yes, your phone screen maintains high sensitivity even with the waterproof pouch on. When using above water, there’s no need to inflate it. However, to use your phone in water between 0–10 ft (0-3 m) deep, you will need to inflate the pouch until there is a gap between the screen and pouch, and then close the rubber seal. The pouch will compress due to water pressure when used at this depth, but it will still allow you to use your touch screen normally. If you’re using at a water depth of 10–100 ft (3–30 m), there is no need to inflate the pouch. Instead, use the easy-press buttons to operate your phone.

The way I was worried about this choice but thought screw it. Turned out it was a smart choice! I took it for snorkelling in Bali and did not get wet and was easy to use. Admittedly I didn’t take it all the way down but it definitely did the job! The downside for me was the massive lanyard..a bit too big for my liking. And made me panic when I thought I lost my phone but the floating effect of the case does work! But just occasionally touch your neck or wherever to see your lanyard is still on you and connected to the phone!

This was perfect for our trip. Worth it in every aspect. Much better than the standard pouch. Only downfall is having to remove my phone from the case before using it but for the images I was able to capture it was totally worth it

I used this pouch for my phone and it worked PERFECTLY! Unfortunately I didn’t inflate it so I had some trouble touching the screen. I tried pulling out the plug with wet hands and couldn’t. With dry hands it was a little easier. I got back in and the inflated pouch helped with touch response.
