If I have a magnet plate on my phone that I use for my car magnet stand will the charger work fine ? I have a simple thin transparent case on top.

It depends on where the metal plate is placed behind the phone, if the plate is covering the charging coil it will block the charging, if it’s below the charging coil, it should work fine.
