The iPhone 12 has MagSafe charging so the phone uses its magnet to stay attached to the mount. If you’re using a case that isn’t an apple MagSafe case then it may not be super secure. I tried it with an aftermarket case and it was kind of loose. Using an apple MagSafe case, the phone doesn’t move while driving.
