It was a bit confusing how many versions of this pencil there are, and I wanted to be sure to get one that could magnetically attach AND charge on my new 2024 iPad Pro 11". This "Pro" model looked most likely that it would work, but sadly it doesn’t. Bought 3 ESR pencils including this one, and none charge through the magnetic connection. 2/3 also didn’t even attach very well. Definitely disappointed because the pencil looks and feels nice, but it’s a deal breaker so I’m returning them.

With so many versions available, it was challenging to identify the right pencil. I needed one that could magnetically attach and charge on my new 2024 iPad Air 13". I bought three ESR pencils, including this one, and none of them charged through the magnetic connection. Ultimately, I opted for the cheaper USB-C only version, which I got at a 50% discount. They work well, and I’m satisfied, though I miss the wireless charging feature.

this is second generation pencil and the Product is good . There is a confusion related to various models available as PRO. This product is specific with c-type charge port and a clicky button on the top which acts as connection set up via Bluetooth as well as to view homepage, multiple tabs or others based on set up for single and double click. The pencil quality is good , writes smooth. Feel and look are good as good as original. There is no issue of heating or lag. However if the pencil is inactive for longer period , you might need to reconnect again with Ipad. Based on limited experience so far, overall pencil is good. There is another model of PRO model with wireless charging with no c-type port, 3 dots as indicator of battery and on top no click button , it acts as a rubber. based on requirement please choose the model/variant as there are 3 variants , all looks similar. Overall pencil is good for the price. I am happy with this buy.Seller sent with good packaging and delivery was prompt. good buy with ESR.

I like that it can magnetically charge but it doesn’t stick that well and charges very slowly

Look, I like the convenience of a pen for annotating documents and filling out electronic forms. But I’m not an artist or a student and I don’t need the features of the Apple Pencil or Apple Pencil pro, with the premium Apple pricetag. So I bought this after checking out some YouTube reviews. It serves my needs perfectly: it is accurate, with good battery life and is pleasant to hold. Of note, this will not charge on the side of the iPad Air M2 version. It will stick to the side but won’t charge, and you will have to charge by USB-C. At $25, I think this offers great value for those of us that aren’t artists or students.

Ok, so first of all I want to say that for the price this is a nice pencil and it does what it’s supposed to be doing. For the price and the discount I’d get it.That being said I must say there are two flaws that might be important. The first one is the battery that won’t last more than a week. I’ve had ipad pencils before that could last a month without being charged so this is kind of a bummer. Second thing is the little plug that protects the USB c port. It’s going to get lost, it’s small and you have to pit it away every time you are using the port.Anyhow if this is not important to you go ahead an get, its a decent device.

Owned black gen 1 version that I lost; do not recommend black as it is hard to see under chair, crevices etc. So I got Gen 2 silver version to match iPad. I like it so far. Gen 2 Button to quickly get to Home or app switch Screen is nice. Have little experience with drawing apps but it is much better than using finger. Tilt is usable but again nit a lot of experience/need to use it.
