No. The cover only magnetically attaches to the back case. It does not attach directly to a caseless iPad.

Magnets are strong and keep iPad in place. The ability to change the placement of iPad is wonderful. Only con is the flap that isn’t magnetized becomes really loose so the screen doesn’t stand as tall as it did. But it’s an insignificant difference in comparison to everything else it’s capable of.

This case revived my desire to use my ipad as something to write on, my previous cases all had the problem of significantly increasing the thickness of the ipad which raised the screen farther from the table and cause writing on the edges to be uncomfortable. This one you can just take off the thin case from the protective cover and it’s basically as thin a case as you can get. So you have protection when you go outside, but when you’re at home or want to have a good writing experience you just take it off the magnetic case. I also really love the ability to have the ipad stand vertically, makes Facetime so much more enjoyable! The only downsides are that the cloth to keep the pencil in place feels like the first thing that will break or tear, and this case + cover doubles the weight of the total package.

A great case for the iPad. It provides great protection while allowing for you iPad to be used in various different states.Handy to be able to detach the iPad in the supplied protective case and mount it higher up for watching content or maybe working on documents.

It is honestly the best case i have ever gotten for any of my devices. This is my first ipad so i wanted the best and i can honesty this is just that. It has so many different view angles on it plus i like you can take the fold cover off. It’s also so durable and feels so strong. It does have some weight to it but not enough that it’s annoying or anything. Definitely get this case!!

Finally, an ipad case that you can fold the cover behind when using & have it stay locked in place. I feel like I’ve been searching for one forever. This case also allows for several different ways of configuration due to the magnets in various places. You can also remove the ipad from the folio cover when you want something less bulky in your hands.My only critique of this is that it’s a little ugly, the apple pencil isn’t covered when charging on the side (there is a holder in the back, but that’s kinda lame), & the front cover feels a little weak when closed. Like if I move it a certain way it’ll pop off. I feel like something that costs $50 should be a little sturdier.
