I’ve had this case for a little over a week now. When I bought it, I was expecting just the keyboard part with the iPad being magnetically placed. I was pleasantly surprised that it actually came with a protective case that can be used with or without the keyboard! It was like buying one keyboard case and getting a second one for free. I really like the kickstand and the various viewing angles you can place it at. I’m not sure if it’s “technically’ suppose to do this, but I fold the keyboard so that the iPad rests on top when I don’t need to use the keyboard and want to only focus on the screen. Pairing was very easy and the keyboard is USB-C so it perfectly blends in with what I already have. Overall it’s a great case that’s sturdy and easy to use!

It is very sturdy with nice feeling material and keyboard response. Detachable and has a Apple Pencil slot which is why I chose this keyboard as a student I often break Apple Pencil nibs so it’s nice that it detaches from keyboard and has that

The case does everything I want it to. It has good magnet strength and I love how the you can detach from the keyboard and still have the case on the iPad. Customer support is great as they were able to respond quickly and worked well with me.

The Ascend Keyboard Case has been a solid addition to our tech arsenal. It transforms our iPad into a quasi-laptop, thanks to the backlit, multi-functional keyboard and responsive trackpad. The fully adjustable stand, which allows for angles between 15° and 180°, is a godsend for finding the perfect viewing position, whether we’re using it for editing documents or watching videos. Switching between portrait and landscape modes is seamless, making it versatile for various tasks. The magnetic back case does a great job of feeling light for travel when detached from the device, but when attached feels much more solid than first party solutions with a great fit and much better aesthetics than the competition. It’s a lightweight and well designed well priced solution for those who need to work from anywhere and we enjoy it much more than the first party solutions we’ve used in the past.

I didn’t like the fold-up cover. It doesn’t work well on your lap.

My 13” iPad Air is a workhorse so I have several different cases for it, and this keyboard case is my latest addition. I had Apple’s Smart keyboard for iPad Pro 12.9” before but didn’t like it very much as it separated from the tablet quite easily due to weaker magnets. This ESR case although heavy has much stronger magnetic connection and can hold the iPad securely in either portrait or landscape orientation, which is a smart feature that I love. Not to mention it is just a fraction of the price compared to Apple. Both the keyboard and the trackpad are very responsive and have a nice touch. There is a row of top function keys – so useful and convenient. The big trackpad supports 3-finger gestures. The hinge in the back cover bends smoothly and is very strong. The sound from typing is not super soft but absolutely acceptable. On a side note, I also have the ESR Rebound Hybrid 360 case set. I can’t use the Rebound inner case with this keyboard outer cover due to different magnet alignments. I understand these are two different series, but it would be ideal (for me) if the inner cases of both series are the same or compatible with each other’s outer cover. In that case when I don’t need the keyboard I can swiftly take out the iPad with the inner case and attach it to the lighter Rebound 360 outer cover for carrying around. Having said that, I still enjoy this keyboard case and use it a lot!

Honestly, the case surprised me a bit because it’s incredibly easy to connect with Bluetooth (it took about 3 seconds or so). I really love the keyboard itself because of the metal texture. Instead of using plastic, this product has a metal texture just like computers. I also like the case because it supports both vertical and landscape modes, which makes watching movies easier. The only downside is that it’s a bit heavy – when carrying it, it honestly feels like a small computer. But it’s great overall based on the price and quality.
