I replaced the Apple keyboard, which I gave to my son. I like the lighted keyboard, the extra keys, such as the home key, and the option for vertical or horizontal position. The flap to keep the pencil is great. I have a holder that I used with the other keyboard as it lost the pencil easily. I use it on this also, but would not be needed. This case does add a little weight, but not a negative for me. I have learned to carefully release the magnetic hold by pulling up from one edge. It is strong (which I like), so I see where one might break the case. I don’t care for not being assured that closing the case puts the iPad to sleep, and the access to the iPad button for that is tricky. Making the iPad in settings to sleep quickly is an option. I am too early to comment on keyboard battery life. Since I have to charge the iPad, charging the keyboard will not be a big deal. I give 5 stars as this case is a fine option that I recommend.

The quality, fit and finish of the keyboard is excellent. However, the ipad holding case is not up to the same standard. I have had my iPad for seven years, always protected with covers and screen protectors. The iPad was knocked off a table top, whilst in its stand, onto a wooden floor approx 28inches drop, resulting in a spider web crackle in my top right screen corner. I couldn’t find any company warranty for protection issues so will now have to look at paying out for a new screen…….Pity, really.

This is an excellent product with a really nice crisp keyboard and strong case. The keyboard retains charge very well as long as you remember to switch it off when it’s not in use. I actually prefer it to the Apple Magic Keyboard – my Apple one only lasted 3 years. I reckon this one will last much longer. It is heavier than the Apple one. The only other possible downside is the access to the side button might be tricky for larger fingers. But I am very happy with it.

The case is nice the connectivity with the Bluetooth fit with the iPad is good. I don’t see any delays for now when you type. I just wish I paid attention to buy a version that also has the mouse pad.
