Please use your iOS device in environments with temperatures between 32ºF to 95ºF (0ºC and 35ºC).
If your iPhone or iPad is exposed to extreme temperatures, it may not charge. In iOS 16 and iPadOS 16, charging will pause if the device becomes too hot or too cold, displaying a "Charging On Hold" message on your Lock Screen and in Settings > Battery. Charging will resume once the device returns to a normal temperature.
To resume charging, follow these steps:
If the device is too hot, move it to a cooler location away from direct sunlight.
If the device is too cold, move it to a warmer area.
If the device is in use, lock the screen or put it to sleep.
