It’s normal for wireless charging to cause slight warmth, especially during intensive use like gaming or streaming. However, if the device becomes excessively hot, it may indicate an issue.
To help prevent overheating, please avoid:
Using a phone case thicker than 2 mm.
Placing metal accessories, credit cards, or pop sockets between the phone and power bank.
Charging both the battery and phone at the same time.
Our power bank has two overheating protection mechanisms: one for the battery at 140°F (60ºC) and one for the coil at 113°F (45ºC). It's normal if both the phone and power bank to feel warm during wireless charging.
If the phone’s temperature rises too much, charging will pause. Charging may also stop when the battery reaches 80%, due to Apple’s overheating protection.
If this happens:
Disconnect the phone, remove the case, and let both the phone and power bank to cool down.
Close unused apps on the phone.
Once both devices have cooled, you can resume charging.
If the issue continues, contact ESR Customer Support for further assistance. Please mention any troubleshooting steps you've already taken, so we can help resolve the issue faster.
